Georginas Osteopathic Journey

My interest in osteopathy stems from a love of dancing from a young age. I enjoyed exploring the body’s creative ability to perform dynamic rhythmic movements in fluid, coordinated sequences. My favourite dance styles were ballet, modern jazz and contemporary. I had my sights set on a career in dance until I discovered Osteopathy.

I first encountered Osteopathy when my mother attained a sports injury. Observing her consultations opened my eyes to a new profession which has a multidimensional focus on enhancing overall health and wellbeing

I studied Osteopathy at Swansea University in the UK where my passion for this profession blossomed. Whilst studying, I gained experience treating various complaints and encountered individuals from all walks of life. The flexible, patient-centred approach Osteopathy provides brings me a sense of fulfilment as I can tailor my treatments to be of most benefit for the individual.

In 2023 I graduated from Swansea University with a First Class Masters degree in Osteopathy. I was also presented the opportunity to guest lecture at Swansea University. The lecture I delivered focused on inspiring fellow students on how they can utilise their final year to achieve their potential and aid their transition into autonomous practice.

The new perspective Osteopathy has provided me provoked an interest in my own health and fitness. I enjoy fuelling my body with a balanced diet and physically pushing myself through running, weightlifting and cross fit workouts. However, I enjoy slumping on the couch with my favourite comfort food just as much… balance is key!

Moving to Canada from the UK is a big step but it is an opportunity I could not resist. I am excited to discover new hikes, amazing views and revive my love for skiing!
